RULES

01. Don't be a drama llama jerk. The only drama happens in character and mods will not hesitate to expel you from game for causing drama out of character with others. Please try to work it out with each other and if that doesn't work come to the mods and we will try to help. If you make it difficult to play in the game then no one is having fun and that is the point here.

02. Act like you have a brain in your head. We all know by now how games should work and function. Don't god-mod, don't toss around other people's characters like they are your own.

03. Be of a mature age (18+) and demeanor. We will deal with mature themes and situations so be of a proper age to view and participate and of a maturity level to handle it.

FAQ

How the hell does this game work?
I am so glad you asked! Fractured Fate is a game I came up with where many people from different time periods and the like have been smooshed together by the compression of time. I am a fan of cross-gen HP games but didn't want everyone to be dead like usual or have gone back in time and everything is waiting to explode. Everyone in game thinks they are exactly where they are supposed to be. As far as what year it is that is rather ambiguous but the general feel of the time period is a mesh of the 1960s and 1970s. Time will flow in game a day for a real life day but other than that there is no set time line as of yet.

There are names I have never heard of on the available list, who are these people?
Every name on the available list was taken from the books in some way. Some are Chocolate Frog Cards, others famous Quidditch Stars, and so on. All you have to do is look them up on the Harry Potter Lexicon to find them.

Can we play teaching staff?
Why yes you can. Most of the staff is unnamed for good reason. It leaves some room for putting who you want in those positions. The founders are there and one other, Neville is the Herbology professor. All other spots are open for interpritation.

Can I play someone not on the available list?
Get with a mod and tell us who you want to play and where they would fit in game and we will consider it. The cast list was made as it was because time compressed and so there are a wide range of people from different time periods not just First war or Trio era.

Common room information
Merlin is the current Minister of Magic.
Arthur is King of England (and Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).
Both Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald are still in school (actually they're both at Hogwarts). Grindelwald's rise to power in Continental Europe, and subsequent defeat at the hands of Dumbledore, has not taken place and (as with Tom Riddle becoming Voldemort, Salazar Slytherin creating the Chamber of Secrets, etc.) may not ever take place, depending on how things unfold.
